Sequencer

moog modular sequencer

This is the sequencer unit on the Moog Modular Series Synthesizer. It is a very unique module in many ways. The Moog sequencer has a very distinguishable sound. It was one of the very first sequencers available in the late 60s, early 70s. It came along about 15 years before the invention of MIDI sequencers. The Moog sequencer is capable of playing a repeated series of either 8, 16 or 24 notes.

Sequencer is a minimalistic, chance piece. It is never performed the same way twice. It is a collection of Moog sequences which are layered, stacked, segued, etc. in a sort of random order. However, the result is always a wonderful aural environment.
